Deportivo v Newcastle, Estadio Riazor, 8pm: Newcastle United - who are currently the subject of a takeover bid - have been dealt a triple injury blow ahead of tonight's game at the Estadio Riazor.

The Premiership side will be without new signings Emre and Scott Parker as well as Jermaine Jenas. Defender Titus Bramble is also missing, but striker Michael Chopra is available despite taking a knock in the last round.

"There's no JJ, he's not travelled with us and Parker and Emre aren't with us either," said United manager Graeme Souness. "Chopra got a bang on his head on Saturday. We'll see how he is, but we're limited.

"It's a long-term one with Titus, other than that I think we've got everyone. It's going to be a very difficult game for us. We're asking boys to stand up and do a man's job.

"They've done well so far, but Newcastle have to have more experienced players on the pitch."

"We are now playing a proper team," Souness said of tonight's opponents. "We are going in against them without players who would arguably be in our starting line-up."
