Second defeat for Irish schools in Four Nations
The Ireland Schools team fell to their second defeat of the Four Nations rugby tournament in Gloucester when they were beaten 35-14 by Wales.
The Ireland management made nine personnel changes to the starting side that lost to England and similar to the England game, Ireland stormed into the lead. They put Wales under huge pressure in the first half and led 9- 3 after half an hour thanks to three penalties from Andrew Burke. But a late try by Wales wing Leigh Halfpenny with six minutes left in the half, which he converted himself, saw Wales go into the break leading 10-9. That try turned out to be a defining moment, as the Ireland team seemed to be deflated after conceding that score. The momentum in the second half swung towards Wales.
Ireland will play Scotland in their final game of the tournament tomorrow in Cheltenham RFC at 2.00pm.

Tergat injured
World record holder Paul Tergat has expressed his disappointment after being forced out of this weekend's London Marathon with a calf injury. The 36-year-old Kenyan, who would have been making his fifth appearance in the event, picked up the injury six days ago while training at home.
"I'm so disappointed," said Tergat, who set his world record of two hours four minutes and 55 seconds in Berlin two and a half years ago.
"I have worked so hard for it and not to be in the action is cruel.
"It's very difficult to find this kind of race, so not to be in there at the 11th hour is hard to accept."
Marshall quits Leeds
Leeds Tykes have "reluctantly agreed" to Justin Marshall's request to leave the club following their relegation from the English Premiership.
The former New Zealand captain, who joined Leeds at the start of this year's Premiership campaign, made his intention to leave the club clear shortly after their relegation was confirmed on Sunday.
Recently-promoted Harlequins are among the favourites to sign Marshall, while French outfit Bourgoin have also shown an interest. The presence of Marshall's former All Black half-back partner Andrew Mehrtens at Harlequins may tip the balance in their favour.
