Hamilton ready for F1:Formula One rookie Lewis Hamilton has dismissed any fears over the pressure he is likely to be under this season and insists he is more than ready for the rigours of F1 when he makes his debut in the event at the season opener in Melbourne this weekend.
The 22-year-old, who will partner 2006 world champion Fernando Alonso at McLaren-Mercedes after impressing in last season's GP2, an event he won at the first time of asking, said: "I feel I have the experience I need and I definitely feel ready to get out there."
Expectations could not be higher for the English driver who will make history as the first black Formula One driver to participate in a Grand Prix.
O'Brien seals finals berth
SNOOKER:Fergal O'Brien, a World Championship quarter-finalist in 2000, won five successive frames as he defeated Stuart Bingham 10-5 last night to secure his place at the final stages at the Crucible in Sheffield.
Dubliner O'Brien compiled breaks of 53, 44, 54 and 73 to move from 5-5 to 9-5 and cleared with a run of 73 to clinch victory after Bingham broke down on 57.
Fellow Dubliner Michael Judge was edged out 10-9 by Marco Fu. Judge looked to have it won when he built a 40-point lead in the decider but he ran out of position with the balls at his mercy and was forced into taking on a difficult red.
He missed and Fu clawed his way back into contention before snookering Judge on the last red.
