St Colman's, Fermoy; 2-18 Our Lady's, Templemore 0-6A rampant St Colman's retained their Munster Colleges' Harty Cup title at Clonmel yesterday. Our Lady's, Templemore, faced a daunting task when they trailed 0-9 to 0-3 at half-time having played with the wind. Scoring first through an Eddie Kelly point, Templemore fell behind to points from Andrew O'Shaughnessy (2), Stephen Molunphy, Paul Kearney and Pat Kirby (2) and trailed 0-6 to 0-3 after 25 minutes.
Templemore's Pat Shortt raised hopes when he opened the second-half scoring with two points but the St Colman's dangermen, O'Shaughnessy, Kirby and Kearney, hit back to leave the Cork side cruising at 0-16 to 0-6. St Colman's then blitzed Templemore with two goals in two minutes from O'Shaughnessy and John O'Donnell. Templemore's Michael Lynagh was sent off on the stroke of time.
