St Flannan's 3-13, Midleton 0-4

A stylish St Flannan's kept themselves in touch with a fourth successive Dr Harty Cup at Feenagh when scoring a comprehensive win over out-of-touch Midleton CBS.

The Ennis college were given the perfect start when Midleton 'keeper, Brian Behan, succeeded in putting the ball over his own goalline and thereafter Andrew Quinn took over the scoring honours and had his side 1-9 to 0-2 in front coming up to half-time.

The second-half was just a formality with Midleton unable to cope with the craft and skills of opponents who had benefited from the experience picked up in their three previous championship wins. Midleton had just one of their four points from play. Don Shannon and Quinn rattled in further goals.
