COLLEGES FOOTBALL:St Gerald's, Castlebar 0-10 St Jarlath's, Tuam 1-5 (Aet: 0-5 to 0-5 after 60 mins)  ST GERALD'S from Castlebar sent holders St Jarlath's crashing out of the Connacht Colleges senior championship after a tense semi-final at Ballinrobe last night.

In the end points from Aidan O’Shea and Aidan Walsh in extra-time was enough to sent Castlebar into the final.

St Gerald’s were 0-2 to 0-1 up at half-time and the sides were deadlocked at 0-5 each at the the end of normal time.

The sides were level at the interval in extra-time as Gerald’s were hauled back when Niall Quinn blasted home a goal for Jarlath’s.
