Leinster Colleges SHC quarter-final: St Peter's 3-6 Kilkenny CBS 1-9 St Peter's, Wexford, found inspiration in adversity to defeat Kilkenny CBS in an entertaining provincial quarter-final at Dr Cullen Park on Saturday.The St Peter's cause looked forlorn on 23 minutes when centreback Kevin Gore was sent off for a second yellow-card offence.
At that stage Kilkenny CBS led by 0-6 to 0-4 and they held a four-point advantage when Liam Kinsella sent a 40-metre free to the Kilkenny net to give St Peter's a lifeline just before half-time.
Kilkenny's Eddie O'Donoghue had scored 1-7 of his side's total by then but CBS were caught cold by goals from Paul Kinsella and Mark Mythan.
