Overnight leader Henrik Stenson of Sweden has won the Qatar Masters title by three shots from Britain's Paul Broadhurst.

Stenson, who started the day with a one-shot lead over compatriot Niclas Fasth and Broadhurst, finished on 15 under par 273 after a final round of four-under par 68.

Broadhurst finished 12-under overall and two-under in the fourth round.

Darren Fichardt of South Africa, the 2003 champion, finished third on 11 under while four players - Fasth, Argentina's Ricardo Gonzalez and the English duo of Nick Dougherty and Richard Finch - tied for fourth on nine under.

Paul McGinley was closest of the Irish on six under after shooting a 73 today, while Darren Clarke shot a 68, his best round of the weekend, to finish on three under.

Damien McGrane and Peter Lawrie finished level and three over respectively.

Defending champion Ernie Els, who gave indications of a fightback on Saturday with a three-under par 69, compiled a level par 72, which gave him an aggregate five-under.

World number two Vijay Singh of Fiji came up with his best round of the week, 69, but his aggregate score of 286 was two under and he finished well down the leaderboard
