Swede Henrik Stenson goes into Sunday's final round of the Qatar Masters with a one-stroke lead over compatriot Niclas Fasth and England's Paul Broadhurst.
One under for the day on Saturday, the Swede was on 11-under 205 for the tournament after a 71. He sank birdies on the fifth, sixth and 15th, but dropped shots on the on fourth and 18th.
"I am a bit disappointed at the moment, but tomorrow is a new day," said Stenson. "I still have a one shot lead and it's not worse than what it was this morning."
Broadhurst, who had the best score of the day with a five-under 67, said: "I played pretty solid. The only bogey was on 17 and it was just a poor shot, no excuses."
Paul McGinley leads the Irish challenge on seven under par after the Dubliner shot a 70. Damien McGrane shot an impressive 68 to climb back to four under, while Peter Lawrie lies on one under thanks to a 72.
Darren Clarke is one over par after a level par round.
Defending champion Ernie Els fired a three-under 69 but trails Stenson by six. The South African said: "He likes the course and he looks really solid so it will be a half-miracle if I have a chance tomorrow."
World number two Vijay Singh of Fiji slipped to 12 shots off the lead after a 73.
