Stick with Justified

12.25 - Christy Roche's horse Winner Take All is a bit of an unknown quantity and I think it's worth taking a chance with Back To Bid. I don't doubt he is the best horse in the race but the worry is that he didn't jump particularly well in his first run over hurdles. He's worth another chance though.

Selection: Back To Bid

12.55 - Snow Patrol is a horse I got from France and is one of two I train for owner Mike Watt. The other, Contact Dancer, runs in Down Royal an hour later. Snow Patrol is a very nice type and he has experience from the flat. He should go well but Line Ball will be hard to beat.

Selection: Line Ball

1.25 - The one thing you have to do around Leopardstown is stay and I was impressed with the way Dreux stayed on off a fast pace at Thurles. He looks like he should go well at a decent price.

Selection: Dreux

1.55 - A very open handicap. Coconut Beach has a chance as does Loughanelteen. Shifting Alliance could go well too.

Selection: Shifting Alliance

2.30 - A really hot race and whoever wins will probably end up favourite for the Arkle at Cheltenham. I've always loved Justified but he will need to be at his best. Kill Devil Hill is very good but the trip might be a bit sharp while for me Missed That jumps like a long distance chaser rather than a two miler. Justified will probably end up making the running but he doesn't need to. I'll stick with him.

Selection: Justified.

3.05 - I used to train Old Flame and I always thought he jumped a bit to the right which won't suit around here. He might also like it a little softer. Green Belt Flyer still looks reasonably well handicapped and for an outsider you could do worse than Healy's Pub. He looks well handicapped too.

Selection: Green Belt Flyer.

3.40 - Gripit N Tipit is a very nice horse I train out of a very good family we have. I really like him but this is usually a very hot bumper and Noel Meade has decided on Lord Lumey from a very big entry.

Selection: Lord Lumey

My plans - St Stephen's Day:

I plan to run 10 horses in all on St Stephen's Day which makes things a bit hectic around here at the moment.

Contact Dancer has a chance in the 2.00 at Down Royal but Blessyourpinksox looks hard to beat. My best chance in the North looks like Teeming Rain in the 1.00. He made a mistake at the third last in his first chase at Wexford but he is generally a sound jumper and this track should suit him better. He won the bumper here last year.

Another four horses go to Limerick and I think Offshore Account has a big chance in the first race. He has been working really well and has had a run over hurdles already behind Alexander Taipan.

Ice And Soda has a chance in the 1.40. He's had a run over hurdles as well which is an advantage. Dr Willie Martin looks the danger."
