LEINSTER COLLEGES SENIOR A HURLING: St Mary's, Enniscorthy1-10 Dublin North 1-8A 35TH-MINUTE goal from St Mary's left corner back Tommy Storey was the score which sent the Wexford school to a deserved two-point win at a wet and windy Carlow yesterday.
Storey’s shot from around midfield and close to the sideline slipped through the fingers of Dublin goalkeeper Shane McDermott, who otherwise gave a faultless display.
A 0-5 to 0-3 half-time lead looked anything but safe for Dublin and, although they then went into a double scores lead, 0-6 to 0-3, Storey’s goal levelled matters and Enniscorthy pushed on from there with substitute Jamie Reck making a strong impact with a brace of points. Michael Brennan scored a late Dublin goal.
