Racing: The home weekend highlight is tomorrow's Listed McCalmont Stakes at Gowran but Tramore has the stage to itself this afternoon where Raise A Storm looks a bet in the second maiden hurdle.
The David Wachman-trained horse is up against the 103-rated Windfall and Closed Orders from Jessica Harrington's yard but neither look up to beating Raise A Storm whose bumper third to Royal Alphabet at Fairyhouse looks to read best of all.
The ground forecast for Tramore is "good" but if conditions continue to dry out it could present Dermot Weld with a winner in the opener courtesy of King Of The Arctic.
The Austin Leahy-trained Dusseldorf has been in rare form recently and could follow up a Killarney flat win and a Ballinrobe Chase success in the mile and a half handicap.
Sincere's third placing to Humulis earlier in the season reads pretty well now the Weld runner has graduated to Stakes class and the Michael Grassick-trained filly can come out on top in the mile and a half maiden.
A total of eight line up for the Listed race at Gowran including the topweight Miss Honorine who had a close eye on Humulis when that filly won at Cork.
Miss Honorine, already a double winner in this grade last season, was an unlucky loser that day and would surely have got close under her penalties with a clear run.
It's a similar task now but with Moonbi Ridge likely to need every yard of the trip and more, and with the 100-rated Turn Back Time something of an unknown quantity after just one run this term, Miss Honorine's versatility on the ground could be the key.
The Humulis team are represented by the Listowel winner Hymn Of Love who holds the Group winner Rainbows For All on Leopardstown form.
With luck this time, however, the John Oxx filly can come out on top.
Oxx could also hold the key to the second division of the three year old maiden with the well bred newcomer Takash while it may also pay to examine in the market in the first division.
The 90-rated Alexander Anapolis finished in front of the Ballydoyle runner Wordsworth, a half brother to Giant's Causeway, at the Curragh but that race was won by Multazem whose stable companion Diplomatic Gamble starts her career here.
Aidan O'Brien and Mick Kinane do, however, team up for the Sadler's Wells newcomer Tycoon in the opener and the juvenile should come out on top.
Tomorrow's other fixture is at Tralee the Oxx team can also come out on top with Pepperwood in the opener.
This one's only start last year was behind the Oaks favourite Yesterday at Leopardstown and the best of opposition now looks to be the 80-rated Conspiring.
Confey Lass beat Mister Kilford at Tipperary and that one's subsequent success at Cork means they meet on more or less the same terms again and the form can be confirmed.
