WATERFORD SFC FINAL Stradbally 2-5 Nire 0-9STRADBALLY CAPTURED the county title for the 15th time in Dungarvan yesterday. The decisive scores were the two goals, one in each half.

The Nire led 0-5 to 0-2 near half-time when Stradbally's Eddie Rockett goaled and the teams were level at the break, 1-3 to 0-6.

The Nire restarted strongly to regain a one-point lead, but poor defending allowed Stradbally's Robert Ahearne to fist to the net in the 45th minute. Trevor Curran's point sealed the win for Stradbally.
