Stravinsky, an impressive winner on his debut at York on Thursday, was all the rage with punters for the Sagitta 2000 Guineas yesterday.

The Aidan O'Brien-trained son of Nureyev, owned jointly by Michael Tabor and Sue Magnier, has been very well supported at 5 to 1 with William Hill and has been trimmed to 4 to 1 for the first Classic.

It is a similar story with Coral, who went 6 to 1 after Stravinsky's comfortable two-length victory in the Moorestyle Convivial Maiden. They report substantial backing for the Ballydoyle juvenile in their offices this morning and now go 9 to 2.

Injured jockey Willie Ryan is making steady improvement, his agent reported yesterday afternoon.
