UCC 0-16 Garda College 0-8UCC had matters practically all their own way in a one-sided contest at the Mardyke, winning comfortably against Garda College.

They led by 0-10 to 0-5 at the interval thanks to the accuracy of centre back Richie Foley and full forward Eoghan Murphy from frees, while John Halbert and Stephen Moylan, before his injury, were prominent from play.

Garda relied heavily on the free-taking of Eoin McGrath as they tried to keep in touch.
