The Irish pair of Tony Corbett and Don Noonan of Cork scored 36 points to finish a creditable 10th in the World Audi Quattro Cup finals at the K Club last week. Played on a Scotch Foursomes format, 50 teams representing 26 countries from Europe, North and South America and the Far East took part. More than 500 qualifying events were held world-wide with a total of 60,000 Audi drivers competing in the leadup to the K Club finals. The winners were Australia with 41 points.
