THIS SEASON’S Sunday Game was launched by RTÉ yesterday. It will feature 13 matches broadcast in high definition as well as some new panellists. All-Ireland winners Eddie Brennan, Kilkenny, who retired last season, and Martin McHugh, the former Donegal footballer and Cavan manager will make their first appearances on the programme this summer.
All-Ireland winning managers, Clare’s Ger Loughnane, making a welcome reappearance after a year out with serious illness, and Cork’s Donal O’Grady, who was in charge of Limerick last year, both return to the panel.
A new magazine programme Championship Matters, presented by Marty Morrissey, will be broadcast on Thursday evenings.
