Poland (Group Five) were the first team to qualify for the World Cup finals from the European zone.

Last night they were joined by Spain (Group 7) and Sweden (Group 4).

Sweden beat Turkey 2-1 after dramatic late goals by Henrik Larsson and Andreas Andersson.

They join champions France, hosts South Korea and Japan, Argentina, and the five African qualifiers Nigeria, Senegal, Tunisia, Cameroon and South Africa.
