Andrew Bree (Age: 19; Event: 100/200m Breaststroke) - Won the 400m individual medley (IM) in the national championships in 1998 and finished 11th overall in the 400m IM at the Commonwealth Games. Won gold in both his Olympic events at the Scottish National Championships in Glasgow in July and six golds at the Irish Championships.

Colin Lowth (Age: 22; Event: 200m Butterfly) - Fell just short of the qualifying standard for Atlanta, but has good recent form - he finished second at the British National Championships (long course) in December in 2:01.96, a new Irish record.
Emma Robinson (Age: 22; Event: 100m Breaststroke) - The Belfast woman produced three Irish records at the National Championships: the 50m Breaststroke (31.88 seconds), the 100m Breaststroke (1:09.40) and the 200m Breaststroke (2:32.70).

Chantal Gibney (Age: 19; Events: 50m, 100m, 200m, 400m Freestyle) - Training under American coach Peter Banks in Florida. Broke Michelle de Bruin's record with 57.48 seconds for the 100m Free at the US Nationals last March and lowered it at the European Championships with 57.43. Holds Irish senior records at 50m and 100m.
PB: 26.84 (50m), 57.43 (100m), 2:02.89 (200m), 4:23 (400m).
