Tonga full-back Siua Taumalolo became the third player to be banned since the World Cup started when he was suspended for 21 days by the tournament's disciplinary committee yesterday.

Taumalolo was suspended for a series of high tackles during the match against New Zealand at Bristol on Sunday.

He was banned until October 26th, ruling him out of Tonga's remaining group matches against Italy and England and effectively ending his participation in the World Cup.

Argentine prop Roberto Grau and Wales flanker Colin Charvis were suspended on Monday after being cited for punching during last Friday's opening match in Cardiff. Grau was banned for three weeks and Charvis for two.
