It will be tomorrow evening at the earliest before the team to face Kildare is decided. The most pressing concern for manager Tom Carr is Ciaran Whelan, whose injury problems continue to leave him doubtful. Enda Sheehy filled the midfield role in the semi-final win over Westmeath and appears to be the number one choice if Whelan is forced out.

Leitrim SF

Manager Joe Reynolds will this evening finalise his team to face Galway for Sunday's Connacht football final at Dr Hyde Park. Colin Regan's suspension is expected to bring about the only enforced change from the side which beat Roscommon, but the Leitrim manager is not short of alternatives. Regan's 12-week suspension for an off-the-ball blow to Roscommon's Francis Grehan leaves a space at right wing back and both Ollie McGuinness and Padraig Flynn appear to be the contenders to take over.

Corner forward Aidan Rooney ended his four-week suspension for a late sending-off in the semi-final at midnight on Saturday and is expected to keep his place.
