Val Andrews fully expects Larry Reilly to line out this Sunday despite the persistent aggravation caused by an knee injury.
Reilly took part in Tuesday night's session but retired early as a precaution.
Of a more worrying nature is the injury Barney McCrudden picked up at the weekend.
The Cavan selectors hope to be in a position to finalise their team this evening.

Eamon Coleman is expected to announce his side this evening and will choose from a fully fit panel.
Henry Downey's continuing participation remains uncertain.
It also seems that Ronan Rock has left the panel.
The wing forward was dropped from the side to face Tyrone in the Ulster semi-final and has not trained with the panel since.
Kildare SF
Kerry legend Mick O'Dwyer has confirmed that he will see out the remaining year of his two-year contract with the Lilywhites.
It has been reported that O'Dwyer believes that the squad still have the depth and talent to make up for their 1998 All-Ireland final defeat.
The squad was robbed of several core figures for this year's campaign, which ended with a defeat against Sligo in Croke Park.
Mayo SF
Manager Pat Holmes wants to take another look at his squad before finalising the side to face Roscommon on Saturday evening in Hyde Park, scene of the team's recent Connacht heartbreak. The side will not be named until Friday.
The resumption of the Mayo club championship led to a number of players taking knocks that have not satisfactorily healed up. Chief among the sufferers is Marty McNicholas.
Sligo SF
Good news on the ticket front for Dublin County Board when they learned that Sligo have declined Hill 16 tickets and they will be allocated to Dublin.
This extra 2,500 tickets will ease the pressure on club and county personnel, and brings the total number of tickets for the hill to 5,000.
It is also expected Dublin will receive a percentage of the returns from other counties on Friday.
