Promising young centre Mark O'Kelly is ruled out of Saturday's clash with Cork Constitution at Lakelands due to an ankle injury sustained against Shannon. Richard Governey moves from fullback to partner Michael Smyth in the centre, with John Coffey moving from the left wing to fullback. Matthew Dowling takes over the No 11 jersey. James Blaney has recovered from a neck problem to take his place in the front row. Eric Miller is unavailable so Dermot Blaney, Peter O'Malley and Luke Hammond continue in the backrow.

Blackrock coach Kevin West will wait until after training tonight to sort out a backline conundrum. Outhalf Alan McGowan is optimistic he will be fit after suffering a dead leg the last day. If he is ruled out Conor Kilroy will move to outhalf. If McGowan is fit then Kilroy, along with Paul Noble (slight hamstring strain) and David Johnson are vying for the wing berths. Nathan Turner returns following a thigh injury.

Brent Pope is beginning to show the trace of a smile now the walking wounded are filtering back into the club's first team. Malcolm O'Kelly received permission from the Irish team management to play this weekend and will partner David Griffin in the second row. Trevor Brennan reverts to the blindside flank. Openside Ross Doyle, who has missed the entire season to date, played a J1 match last weekend and should be back in the first team squad by Saturday week. Pope is hoping centre Gareth Gannon will recover from the shoulder injury that sidelined him for the Blackrock match. Jason Verdon starts in the centre, with Peter McKenna reverting to fullback. Alan Conboy, Brendon Bartley and Darragh Hughes are battling for the vacancies on the wings. Graham Ingles is not available.

Lansdowne

It's official, Lansdowne boast the more debilitating injury list. Centre Gus Hamilton became the eighth first choice player to be ruled out of their trip to take on Dungannon at Stevenson Park. Hamilton has a hamstring injury. Coach Brian Allen will not announce his team until tomorrow, having introduced them to each other at training tonight.

Clontarf

A disciplinary hearing will determine whether second row Ben Gissing returns but Richie Murphy will at outhalf.
