Norwegian under-21 goalkeeper Espen Johnsen is, by all accounts, a bit good and, consequently, has attracted the attention of several English Premiership clubs, including Liverpool (with whom he's already had a trial) and Manchester United. But Espen is only 19 so his club IK Start are anxious that he stay with them for another season or two before setting off for foreign shores. However Espen's Da is very keen that he move as soon as possible. Why? Did he say "because I want my beloved son to fulfil his potential as soon as possible and play on a bigger European stage?". No. "Because I am fed up with working for the Postal Service and his move should give me the money to quit my job," he was honest enough to admit last week. "Espen will take the first, and the best offer," he added. (What if the first isn't the best?). Parents, eh?
