Djokovic wins Wimbledon again

Novak Djokovic is Wimbledon champion for a third time after he beat Roger Federer in four sets on Centre Court yesterday.

Johnny Watterson was in SW19 as the world number one survived a second set wobble to win 7-6 (7-1), 6-7 (10-12), 6-4, 6-3, securing his ninth Grand Slam title.

Dublin’s Leinster dominance continues

Dublin are Leinster champions yet again after they avoided an upset at Croke Park, seeing off a plucky Westmeath side 2-13 to 0-6.

Jim Gavin's side have now won five provincial titles in a row and 10 out of the last 11, however despite this he believes Dublin's dominance is not a given.

Galway's summer adventure continues but Armagh's is over after after Kevin Walsh's side survived 24 minutes without a score to win 1-12 to 0-12 at the Athletics Grounds.

Meanwhile Roscommon were stunned late on by Fermanagh at Brewster Park as the visitors scored six points in the last five minutes to win 1-14 to 0-16 and book their place in the Championship last 12.

41st Munster title for Tipp

Tipperary are Munster Senior Hurling Champions for the 41st time after they ran out 0-21 to 0-16 winners over Waterford at yesterday - Sean Moran was at Semple Stadium as Eamon O'Shea's management picked up their first provincial title.

Sunday's defeat represented Waterford's competitive loss of the season and Derek McGrath's charges, who will now face Dublin in the Championship, were ultimately done by the greater experience of Tipp writes Keith Duggan.

Despite the encounter in Turles being a gripping one, both Waterford and Tipperary have a lot of room for improvement before the All-Ireland series writes Nicky English.

Stage win around the corner for Dan Martin

Dan Martin is still looking for a first stage win heading into the second week of the 2015 Tour de France, but after a fourth and second place finish so far he's hopeful of securing a win when the race reaches the high mountain stages.

What promised to be the summer's most protracted transfer saga is now almost at an end, with Raheem Sterling set to have a medical at Manchester City on Monday after they agreed a deal with Liverpool for the 20-year-old.
