Rangers 3 Dundee United 3:KEVIN THOMSON earned Rangers a last-gasp share of the points after in a thrilling encounter Ibrox last night.

Steven Davis and Sasa Papac both netted for Rangers but a double from Francesco Sandaza and a Scott Robertson strike looked certain to earn United victory until Thomson's injury-time leveller.

Rangers surged ahead after just 11 minutes when Davis ran onto Kenny Miller's pass and rifled into goalkeeper Lukasz Zaluska's bottom right corner from the edge of the area.

United were back on level terms six minutes later. Sandaza had been drafted into the United team with Corkman Roy O'Donovan suspended following his red card against Falkirk at the weekend.

Morgaro Gomis started the move with a good run before playing the ball to Warren Feeney, who slipped into the path of Sandaza to fire home from 16 yards.

United were celebrating again with 27 minutes gone. Robertson collected Paul Dixon's cut-back and forced a block from Allan McGregor but the Rangers goalkeeper parried straight to Sandaza who slotted home the rebound.

Papac claimed his first goal for Rangers on 37 minute with a well-hit drive but McGregor wasfishing the ball out of the net again after 59 minutes. A long throw from Dixon sparked a scramble in the box as the ball dropped on the six-yard box for Robertson to lash over the line.
