Davy Thompson was the happiest man in Greencastle on Saturday after winning the captain's (Seamus Doherty) prize with an excellent score of 44 points off a 12 handicap.
However, Davy had to finish strongly to hold off Jim Smith (11), who also finished on 44 with Thompson winning on the back nine.
Charlie Barr finished third on 43 points the same mark as Michael F Doherty with the gross prize going to five handicapper John McGilloway with 32 points.
The popular Greencastle captain started the busy week in style when winning the gross on the final day of open week.
