ALL-IRELAND COLLEGES SH A SEMI-FINALS/Thurles CBS 0-12 Dublin Colleges 0-10:A FAST start and strong finish saw Thurles CBS win their second game in seven days and earn their place in the All-Ireland final.

A sluggish start from the Leinster champions gave the Tipp side plenty of opportunity to take control of the game at Nowlan Park and they did just that - David Butler and Rory Ryan getting the bulk of the scores that saw Thurles lead 0-6 to 0-3 at half-time.

And, led by Butler, Thurles CBS were still three clear as the game moved into the final quarter - 0-9 to 0-6. The gap was soon stretched to four, but only after Dublin goalkeeper Finn McGarry reacted brilliantly to turn a Ciarán Shelly shot over the crossbar.

Dublin took strength from that and, when Kevin O'Loughlin landed a sideline ball with five minutes left there was the minimum between the teams - 0-10 to 0-9.
