MUNSTER COLLEGES SHC (HARTY CUP) QUARTER-FINALS: Thurles CBS 0-11 Our Lady's Templemore 0-5SIX POINTS from Tipperary minor Kieran Morris helped Thurles CBS to defeat neighbours Our Lady's, Templemore, in a mudbath at the Ragg yesterday. The conditions bordered on dangerous and the game only went ahead after an inspection.
Thurles led by 0-6 to 0-3 at the interval, thanks to points from Morris (three), Diarmuid Fogarty, David Butler and Mossy Bracken.
Templemore battled back but were just unable to make any real inroads on the excellent Thurles defence, for whom Rory OShea and the inspirational Denis Maher were outstanding.
