7.00pm(All times Irish): Pádraig Harrington tees off (three wood) in the final round of the US PGA Championship at Oakland Hills on one over par, three behind the leaders in the company of Sergio Garcia and Charlie Wi, with just one three ball behind them containing Americans Ben Curtis, JB Holmes and Sweden's Henrik Stenson.

7.12: Harrington misses from nine feet for birdie but Wi and Garcia both hole from even closer to pick up one shot on the Irishman.

7.20: Homes runs up a triple bogey seven after a visit to the trees. Stenson falters too but Curtis birdies to take the lead.  Mickelson has birdied the three holes from the second to get it to two over par for the tournament.

7.40: Garcia fires a nine iron from 190 yards downwind to the par five second, the ball eventually coming to rest four feet from the pin. He holes for an eagle to move to two under, one behind Curtis. Harrington makes birdie to move to level par.

8.12: Harrington makes par, Garcia sees his birdie putt slip by but Wi holes on the fourth to move to one under.

8.25: Curtis misses a birdie opportunity on the fourth.

8.35: Harrington makes a bogey at the fifth, after his six iron flies the green, slipping back to one over par for the tournament and four behind the leader, Curtis.

8.40: Garcia drives the ball way right but gets lucky and finishes on an area trampled by spectators at the short par four, sixth. The Spaniard plays a gorgeous pitch to six feet which he holes for birdie to move to three under and a tie for the lead. Harrington makes birdie after a brilliant 50 yard bunker shot and single putt; he's back to level par.

9.05: A birdie for Curtis at the sixth sees him regain the outright lead on four under. Playing partner Stenson misses a 15 foot eagle putt but makes birdie to move to two under. Holmes is suffering the horrors and has slipped right out of contention.

9.30: Harrington and Garcia par the seventh and eighth but it takes a great downhill seven foot putt from the Spaniard at the latter hole to keep his bogey free round going.

9.50: Curtis and Stenson both bogey the eighth hole to drop back to three under and one under respectively.

10.00: Curtis then bogeys the ninth after finding a bunker off the tee. Garcia leads the USPGA Championship.

10.02: Harrington holes from 20 feet for birdie on the 10th to start his back nine charge and moves to one under. Garcia can't follow suit. The Irishman's back nine charge has begun.

10.20: Garcia holds a great 10 foot putt on the 11th to save par while Harrington almost chips in.

10.30: Curtis finds sand again off the tee on the 11th and his second shot comes to rest beside a tree leading ultimately to a bogey and he's back to one under.

10.38: Garcia duffs a chip his third shot to the par five 12th but still makes par. Harrington plays the most sublime flop shot from the back of the green and then holes a five foot birdie putt to move to two under, one behind Garcia.

10.50:Harrington hits a five iron to 10 feet on the par three 13th to set up a third birdie in four holes and a share of the lead. Curtis birdies the 12th while Stenson's bogey on the same hole would prove very debilitating.

11.05: The Irishman is a little wayward from the tee but gets a good lie and line into the green. He can't get any spin on his second and it careers through the back of the green almost clattering into the pin. He pitches well but his par putt slides by. Garcia makes a safe par and he's back in the lead.

11.18: Garcia hits the pin with a punched six iron to the 15th and for a split second it grabs the edge of the hole before coming to rest seven feet away. The Spaniard can not convert while Harrington's birdie putt (10 feet) doesn't drop. Back on 14, Curtis makes his birdie putt to join Sergio Garcia at three under.

11.35: Garcia and Harrington both find the 16th fairway with three woods but the former pushes his second shot right and into the water by the green. He eventually gets up and down for a bogey. Harrington pulls his second from 133 yards into a bunker, splashes out to 13 feet and then holds a sliding downhill putt for par.

11.36: Curtis makes bogey on the 15th and slaps his tee shot into the hospitality area on the 16th but gets a free drop. He has 170 yards to go and hits a five iron before completing a great escape by single putting for a par.

11.52:Harrington and Garcia hit five iron tee shots on the par three 17th to nine and five feet respectively. The Irishman holes for birdie, the Spaniard misses and so Harrington, three under, has a one shot lead going up the 18th. Curtis would bogey 17 after his tee shot unluckily caught a bad lie through the green.

12.05am: Harrington pushes his drive on 18 into a fairway bunker. Garcia catches a reasonable lie having shoved his onto a grassy knoll. The Irishman's recovery shot is heavy and finishes in the rough. Garcia hits a five wood into a greenside bunker short and right.

12.11: Harrington catches a good lie in the rough and from 143 yards hits a glorious seven iron to a little over a dozen feet to lie three on the par four. Garcia's bunker shot comes up about eight feet short.

12.21: Harrington has a putt to win the US PGA Championship and he duly rolls it in to cap a wonderful sequence of pressure laden putts over the closing holes. Garcia misses his effort and ends with a bogey.

12.30: Curtis needs to hole his second shot, doesn't and then can't convert a 15 foot birdie putt so ends up tied second with Garcia.
