Tipperary 0-26 Cork 1-19 (AET – 0-18 each after normal time):THERE WAS relief in Tipperary last night when it emerged that an injury to Patrick Maher is not as serious as first feared.
Lar Corbett’s midweek withdrawal from the Tipperary squad dominated the build-up to yesterday’s tie and manager Declan Ryan said: “Lar Corbett is a mercurial character and it doesn’t take him that long to get fit. We’d be happy to see him any time between now and the end of May.”
On the pitch, Tipperary scored a four-point win. After the sides were level after 70 minutes, Tipp finished stronger in extra-time.
