THE Republic of Ireland Under-21 team will meet Home Farm-Everton at Tolka Park next Tuesday as part of their preparations for the European championship meeting with Macedonia on October 8th.
The Under-21 manager, Ian Evans, has called up 14 players for training on Sunday, among them the experienced trio of Willie Boland (Coventry), Keith O'Halloran (Middlesbrough) and Declan Perkins (Southend United).
They will join members of the senior squad in two training sessions at Clonshaugh on Monday before reporting to Whitehall for the Home Farm game.
Glentoran were crushed 8-0 by Czech side Sparta Prague last night in the second leg of their European Cup Winners' Cup qualifying round tie and tumbled out 10-1 on aggregate.
And to compound their misery, they had Darren Finlay sent off after 29 minutes for a foul on Lumir Mistr having already been cautioned.
Glentoran went a goal down in less than a minute, Peter Gunda scoring after Vratislav Lokvenc had beaten Chris Walker to a header from Zdenek Svoboda's 50-yard pass into the penalty area.
Glentoran's game collapsed totally when Svoboda and Siegl added further goals in the 78th and 80th minutes.
