U-19 Championship: A second-half goal from striker Fernando Torres won the UEFA Under-19 championship for Spain in Oslo as Germany lost in the final for the third time in nine years

Spain had the better of it in the first half and Daniel Haas kept Germany in the match with brilliant saves from Sergio and then Reyes in quick succession seven minutes before the break.

Germany had a chance cleared off the line early in the second half before falling behing to what proved the winner on 55 minutes. Torres scuffed his initially shot after being played in by Iniesta. But defender Malik Fathi allowed him a second chance and he duly toe-poked the ball past Haas.
