Rugby News: France centre Damien Traille has pulled out of the Six Nations match against Ireland in Dublin on Saturday with a foot injury.

Traille - who is suffering from pain in the arch of his right foot - was unable to play for Biarritz in a French championship game against Toulouse on Saturday. He will be replaced by 26-year-old Toulouse centre Benoit Baby, who has been called into the France squad for the first time.

Gloucester played yesterday's English Cup semi-final without their Wales hooker Mefin Davies because of a thumb injury, and his fitness will be a cause of concern for coach Mike Ruddock ahead of next Sunday's Six Nations Championship clash against Scotland in Edinburgh.

Davies' international team-mate, scrumhalf Andy Williams, gave Bath a 24-19 victory just when a drop-goal shoot-out looked certain, and took them into their 11th English cup final. They will play Leeds at Twickenham on April 16th.
