Christian Ziege is expected to complete a move to Tottenham next week after Liverpool reportedly accepted an improved offer of around £5 million sterling for the Germany wing back.
Glenn Hoddle's initial offer of £3.8 million for Ziege was rejected, but the player is now expected to return from holiday at the weekend and go straight into talks at White Hart Lane on Monday. It is understood that Ziege (29), will be offered a five-year deal at around £50,000 a week.
Leeds are thought to be still on the trail of Newcastle's England midfielder Kieron Dyer after the chairman Peter Ridsdale revealed that the Yorkshire club have two summer targets but only one of them was "gettable". The non-gettable target is understood to be Sol Campbell who is still choosing between Arsenal and Barcelona. Ridsdale also said that Leeds have received three offers in excess of £20 million for the striker Mark Viduka. Ridsdale is trying to sign the player up to a long-term deal with Leeds.
