Dundalk Grammar School arrived late, and Marian's match-winning tries later still, in this delayed Leinster Schools Senior Cup Section A quarter-final at Belfield yesterday.

Marian created all the worthwhile chances, with centre David Walsh being bustled into touch by Dundalk's out-half, Joe Gilles, in the 22nd minute while hooker Albert Allen had two first-half kicks and another two in the second half which failed to find the target. It was left to number eight Glen Trehy to decide matters when he scored two tries in the last five minutes.
