HOCKEY: The priority for Trinity and UCD is to keep clear of the bottom rung of the Leinster Premier Division, but yesterday they were able to enjoy the sociability of the Colours match at Belfield, which Trinity won 4-1, repeating their victory of the Mauritius Cup final.
The game was evenly contested at the start, with Stephen Tilson putting Teddy Lynch through for an equaliser for the home side after Gareth Hinds had broken the cover for under-21 international Michael Harte to give Trinity the lead.
Trinity were back in front through Paul Tuthill from a short corner before the interval, and they dominated the second half for Harte and the exuberant Tuthill to increase the margin.
