News: Shelbourne's Champions League opponents, Deportivo La Coruna, beat Spanish second division outfit Zamora 3-0 in their final warm-up game for next week's trip to Dublin. Pablo Amo, Ruben and Sebastian Abreu scored for Javier Iruretagoyena's side.
The coach has a number of problems ahead of the Shelbourne match, however, with Diego Tristan ruled out of the first leg of the tie by injury and doubtful for the return game and Naybet missing the Dublin game because of suspension.
Several of the club's established stars who missed Thursday night's game are expected to return before Wednesday but it is unclear if former Spain midfielder Fran will feature after falling out with club president Agusto Cesar Lendoira.
The original dispute was a rather straightforward one over wages and bonuses but the player antagonised club officials by filing a complaint under a league rule that specifically allows for the relegation of an offending club to the second division.
Three of the club's younger players, Ruben, Momo and Jaime Sanchez Fernandez, are set to go on loan to Albacete, leaving their coach short of cover, particularly up front as Uruguayan international Walter Pandiani may be the only established striker available on Wednesday night.
The game will be shown live by RTÉ. Coverage begins at 7.30 p.m. on Network 2.
Chelsea striker Adrian Mutu's mooted loan move to Juventus has fallen through, according to the player's agent.
The Romanian faces stiff competition at Stamford Bridge since the signings of Didier Drogba and Mateja Kezman and was hoping to return to Italy with Juventus, but his agent, Giovanni Becali, said: "Mutu will be a Chelsea player for the next four years."
