NO DECISION has been made on whether TV3 will broadcast commentary in Irish on this year's All-Ireland minor finals, writes SEAN MORAN

The station secured the exclusive rights to cover the matches for three years, starting with this summer’s championship.

“We are still discussing this matter with the GAA and expect to finalise arrangements for the minor games within five or six weeks,” according to Ciarán Ó hEadhra, the series producer of TV3’s GAA coverage. “The intention is to respect the traditions of the coverage in as much as we can.”

RTÉ has traditionally broadcast the minor finals in Irish, but as part of a programme that included the senior finals in English.
