Ulster Under-21 FC Semi-finals: Tyrone had to work hard for their 0-13 to 0-11 win over Antrim at Healy Park on Saturday. In the other semi-final in Crossmaglen, Derry beat Armagh by 1-7 to 1-5 after extra-time.
Tyrone's attack performed only in bursts, and while Antrim's accurate forwards Patrick Cunningham and Michael McCann looked capable of hitting the target any time, they lacked effective support. Three second-half points from Damien McDermott saw Tyrone safely through to the decider.
Despite shooting 16 wides and being held scoreless for 61 minutes, Derry still managed to take a dramatic victory over Armagh with virtually the last kick of the ball.
Derry led by 0-6 to 1-2 at half-time and at the end of normal-time only one further point had been registered, Armagh's Joe Quigley being the marksman.
When Armagh substitute Ciarán Conlon scored two points in the first period of extra-time, Armagh looked to have booked their place in the final but when Barry McGoldrick's hopeful lob came back off an upright his brother, Seán Leo, buried the rebound in the Armagh net to give Derry victory.
