The progress of Finn Harps since Jonathan Speak took charge in January has been impressive. Yesterday, at Belfield, they extended their unbeaten run in the league to eight games.

The visitors looked eager from the start and deservedly took the lead in the 18th minute. Kevin McHugh sent a low cross into the box and Fergal Harkin slotted the ball between the legs of goalkeeper Barry Ryan.

UCD equalised 10 minutes before half-time when Robert McAuley nodded a deep cross back to Tony McDonnell, who headed home to deny Harps a much-needed victory.
