A first-half own goal put Celtic on their way to a 3-0 victory against Inverness Caledonian Thistle in Parkhead on Saturday. Second-half goals from Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink and substitute Jiri Jarosik secured the points for the Scottish Premier League's runaway leaders.
Benfica slipped to fourth in Portugal after a 3-1 defeat away to Braga. Danish league leaders FC Copenhagen drew 2-2 with Midtjylland, former Aston Villa striker Marcus Allback got their second goal.

Arsenal v Hamburg
CSKA Moscow v FC Porto
Hamburg's slump continued ahead of their match at Arsenal. Their scoreless draw at Mainz kept them in the Bundesliga relegation zone.
CSKA's second consecutive Russian title, secured on Saturday after a 4-0 at Luch-Energiya Vladivostok with a match to spare, was a hollow victory for many fans after a season overshadowed by widespread allegations of match-fixing. Vagner Love scored a hat-trick.
Porto maintained their lead in Portugal with a 2-1 home defeat of Academica.

AEK Athens v AC Milan
Lille v Anderlecht
AEK Athens beat Kerkyra 4-1 on Saturday to maintain their title challenge in Greece.
AC Milan's dismal Serie A season continued on Saturday when they were held 0-0 at Empoli. The draw, after four defeats in five matches, left Milan with eight points from 12 games.
Lille dropped two points in their pursuit of French leaders Lyon when they were held to a goalless draw at Sochaux on Saturday.
Anderlecht were beaten 2-1 away at Gent in the Belgian Jupiler League also on Saturday.

Levski Sofia v Barcelona
Werder Bremen v Chelsea
Bulgarian league leaders Levski had an easy 3-0 win on Saturday at home against Sofia Lokomotiv.
Barcelona were too much for Mallorca last night, winning 4-1 away from home. Eidur Gudjohnsen scored twice for the reigning European champions. Andres Iniesta and Santiago Ezquerro also scored for Barca.
Miroslav Klose scored to rescue Werder Bremen from defeat as the second-placed Bundesliga side came from behind twice to draw 2-2 at Alemannia Aachen on Saturday.

Inter Milan v Sporting Lisbon
Spartak Moscow v Bayern Munich
Hernan Crespo's fourth-minute volley was enough to give Inter a home win against Reggina which moves them three points clear of Palermo at the top Serie A.
Rodrigo Tello scored the only goal as Sporting Lisbon beat Maritimo away last night.
Yegor Titov and Roman Pavlyuchenko each scored twice to power Spartak to a 4-3 win at Rostov to secure the runners-up spot in the Russian league.
Bayern beat Stuttgart 2-1 in Munich with goals coming from Roy Makaay and Claudio Pizarro.

Bordeaux v Galatasaray
Liverpool v PSV Eindhoven
Brazilian midfielder Wendell and striker Lilian Laslandes scored Bordeaux's goals against PSG at the Parc des Princes on Saturday.
An own goal saw Galatasaray win at Antalyaspor on Saturday.
Arouna Kone, Alex, Jefferson Farfan and Carlos Salcido scored PSV's goals to see the Eredivisie leaders defeat Excelsior 4-0 at home on Saturday. The real story in the Netherlands came in The Hague when fans of the home club, ADO Den Haag, invaded the pitch and forced the abandonment of the match against Vitesse Arnhem.

Valencia v Olympiakos
Brazilian striker Brandao scored a hat-trick as Shakhtar beat Metalurg Zaporizhya 3-0 on Saturday.
Roma hammered Catania 7-0 yesterday in Serie A with Christian Panucci and Simone Perrotta both scoring twice.
Valencia's Brazilian midfielder Edu will miss most of the rest of the season after damaging knee ligaments during his side's 3-0 defeat at Sevilla on Saturday.
Rivaldo scored twice as Greek league leaders Olympiacos beat Aris 3-2 away on Saturday.
