Two goals from Franck Ribery booked Bayern’s spot in the knockout stage as group winners.

Ribery gave the hosts a third-minute lead after a defensive blunder and Mario Gomez tapped in his 14th goal in his last 11 Champions League games to go top of the scorers list with six .

Jonathan de Guzman cut the deficit in the 50th but Ribery made sure of victory with a solo effort 19 minutes later.

CSKA Moscow 0 Lille 2

Trabzonspor 1 Inter Milan 1

Lille scored twice in the second half to beat CSKA Moscow 2-0 away in freezing conditions and send Group B rivals Inter Milan through to the last 16 while reviving their own chances.

CSKA defender Vasily Berezutsky skewed the ball into his own goal shortly after the break and Moussa Sow tapped into an empty net after Joe Coles shot hit the post.

Lille’s win meant group leaders Inter qualified for the first knockout round even before their draw at Trabzonspor secured top spot.

Otelul Gulati 3 FC Basel 2

Basel midfielder Fabian Frei and strikers Alexander Frei and Marco Streller struck in the first half to earn a win at Otelul Galati to keep alive their chances of reaching the last 16.

Group D

Real Madrid 6 Dinamo Zagreb 2

Olympique Lyon 0 Ajax 0

Real scored four times in the first 20 minutes on their way to hammering Dinamo to secure top spot in the group. Karim Benzema, Jose Callejon, Gonzalo Higuain and Mesut Ozil all scored before the 20th minute. Callejon and Benzema scored again after the break

Ajax Amsterdam all but sealed their passage in the other group game, the scoreless draw leaving them on eight points, three above last night’s hosts.
