Shelbourne's excellent performances in the Champions League put added pressure on Bohemians as they prepare for tomorrow night's UEFA Cup first-leg tie against Aberdeen at Pittodrie.

"That victory over the Macedonian side Sloga and then the 1-1 draw with Rosenborg in Norway last week add to the pressure," said Bohemians boss Roddy Collins.

"Everyone now expects us to do the same, but we are five years behind Shelbourne, but catching up with them both commercially and on the field of play".

Veteran English-born central defender Dave Hill seems certain to partner Shaun Maher in the centre of defence following his mid-summer transfer from Cork City. And there could also be a midfield role for former Irish international Liam O'Brien, who also joined the Dublin club from Cork City.
