Rangers go without Flo
Rangers entertain German first division Kaiserslautern in the third round first leg tonight buoyed by Sunday's 5-1 win over Celtic. The handsome victory still left them 12 points behind leaders Celtic in the Scottish premier league but provided a badly needed boost to morale.
Norwegian striker Tore Andre Flo, who scored on his debut for Rangers following his Scottish record £12 million sterling signing from Chelsea, will not face the Germans because he is cup-tied.
Kaiserslautern lost 4-2 to leaders Bayer Leverkusen at the weekend to drop to seventh in the Bundesliga standings. It was the fourth defeat in succession for new team manager Andreas Brehme.
Manager Andreas Brehme pointed to a lengthy sick list on the eve of tonight's clash with Rangers. The former Germany World Cup star said he was unable to pick a number of first choice players.
One is star midfielder Mario Basler, who scored for Bayern Munich against Manchester United in the 1998 Champions League final. Play-maker Youri Djorkaeff is also doubtful with a back problem.
Brehme said: "Djorkaeff is doing some light training but any decision will be taken tomorrow. We have got a lot of injured players at the moment, although we can't use that as an excuse. The players we have, we have confidence in.
"I have played (at Ibrox) myself and know what a hot dance it can be," Brehme added. "We must go into it without any fears. If you hide at Ibrox then you've got no chance."

Kaiserslautern (probable): Koch; Ramzy, H Koch, Komljenovic, Buck, Pettersson, Hristov, Grammozis, Strasser, Djorkaeff, Klose.
