Ulster A 29, Leinster A 22:Ulster enjoyed a seven-point win over Leinster at Stevenson Park last night. Outhalf Andy Dunne opened the scoring for the visitors with a penalty after 11 minutes before Paul McKenzie touched down for Ulster.

Adam Larkin missed the conversion but made amends in the 29th minute after Declan Fitzpatrick powered over.

Leinster wing forward Niall Ronan then barrelled over on the stroke of half-time, with Dunne slotting home the easiest of kicks, to reduce the deficit to 12-10.

Hooker Paul Shields struck with a try for Ulster after 42 minutes and Larkin again converted.

When Harry Vermaas barged over and Dunne added the points, the visitors looked like fighting back but a Larkin try in the 71st minute put a serious dent in Leinster's assault.

Adam Byrnes touched down for Leinster but a Paul Marshall try in the last minute of play sealed Leinster's fate.
