IRELAND'S Jeremy Henry, 21, the youngest player in the field, sent three time champion Richard Corsie of Scotland, the number two seed, crashing out of the World Indoor Bowls in the first round at Preston last night.

Henry an 80 to 1 championship outsider, won 7-2. 7-2, 4-7, 7-2 to join his international team mate, David Corkill, in the last 6, in which he plays Australia's Adam Jeffery.

Henry admitted later, "After winning the first two sets, a bit of panic set in and I lost the third set"

But I told myself to wise tip and thankfully I got back in the groove.
