Coach: Graham Henry - Is under pressure in the Principality to take Wales to the next level, ie Six Nations champions. Is struggling to control the Welsh mood swings and make them a more consistent side. Last season: 4th. Strengths: Good scrum and a decent lineout with Gough and Wyatt. Howley is playing well again at scrumhalf and Jenkins is in the form of his life. The world record points scorer can inflict heavy damage on transgressors. Mark Taylor's return is a fillip while Daffyd James is in great form. Weaknesses: Rhys Williams loss of form at full back necessitated switching reserve outhalf Stephen Jones to the No 15 jersey. How he fares will have a big say on Welsh prospects. Too reliant on a couple of individuals in terms of spiritual leadership: if Gibbs and Quinnell struggle, so will Wales. Key player: Scott Quinnell - He is the Welsh game-breaker. His ability to carry ball forward and make the hard yards are central to his team's game-plan. He can give the team the momentum they need to take the game further away from the ruck and maul. Forecast: Dai Young is still not fully recovered from injury and, Quinnell aside, the Welsh don't look nearly as formidable up front this season. Jones at full back is definitely a risk and it will be interesting to see the legacy from a crumbling Welsh challenge in the European Cup.

Fourth.
