Ruby Walsh is in Paris tomorrow for the big Auteuil meeting where he rides the Pat Hughes-trained Montayral in the French Gold Cup. Montayral is the only Irish runner in the 15-strong field for the Grand Steeple Chase de Paris with the runners headed by leading French horse Batman Senora.
Walsh also rides Sadlers Wings, one of three Willie Mullins-trained runners in the €150,000 Prix le Barka, as the Co Carlow trainer bids to follow in Nobody Told Me's 2003 footsteps. Nobody Told Me was fourth in tomorrow's race before winning the French Champion Hurdle and this time Mullins also runs the SunAlliance winner Rule Supreme (David Casey) and Joueur d'Estruval (Christophe Pieux.).
Silk Screen represents the Mullins-Walsh team in the €120,000 Prix de Longchamp where they will take on the top French juvenile Maia Erica.
The Mullins name should also be prominent at home where Tony Mullins runs Three Mirrors in the conditions hurdle at Limerick.
The track should suit the headstrong front-runner who won well on his last start at Tipperary and can overcome the ratings to beat More Rainbows and the Downpatrick winner Corporate Express.
Mullins will also fancy his chances in the qualified riders race where he runs the 105-rated Dawn Invasion. The five-year-old has been a slow learner over hurdles but had enough in him to beat Arch Stanton at Fairyhouse and then run sixth to Brave Inca at the Punchestown Festival. On the figures he is clear winner here.
