Wanango to prove his class

Charlie Swan's Leopardstown tips : 12

Charlie Swan's Leopardstown tips: 12.25: "What you usually want in maidens here is an improving horse, and Head Held High looks like one of them. He should come on a lot for his run at Navan. Charlie Yardbird has been on the go since the summer but he could run into a place."

Selection: Head Held High

12.55: "Aran Concerto has impressed me a lot, and if Noel Meade says he's a very good horse, then he is. Since The Very Man ran a good race against him last month, he will do for me."

Selection: The Very Man

1.30: "The three-year-olds have been beating each other this season so it looks open. I worry a bit about Financial Reward at the trip over this tough track, and I think Lounaos looks the best bet."

Selection: Lounaos

2.00: "I run Good To Be King, who won a bumper here earlier in his career. He's had problems since and hasn't run for ages, so I'm only hoping he will go well. Savitha ran a nice race on her first start for a while and will be there at the finish."

Selection: Savitha

2.35: "Wanango is a horse I've always liked. He stays well but has a lot of class. I'll take him over Glenfinn Captain, who's a horse I'd like to see again. Conna Castle was just off top class as a novice hurdler and he has been a bit disappointing over fences. Hitting the deck won't have helped him either. But he could still be the danger."

Selection: Wanango

3.10: "My horse Ground Ball has a good chance in this. He won't mind the ground and he was going really well in his last race before making a mistake. But I know Arthur Moore loves to have winners here and Mansony could be hard to beat."

Selection: Mansony

3.40: "I run a very nice horse here called Cloone Rocket. He's out of a good mare and goes well. I think he will run a very respectable race. but there's always Willie Mullins and Noel Meade to worry about."

Selection: Cloone Rocket
